This is where we attempt to answer some of your questions and finally convince you to come and join the 2019 Premier League Champions (have we mentioned it enough yet..?)!

Do I have to be fit to join?

No! Being fit always helps, it is a sport, however everyone starts somewhere! Please don’t be put off if you are thinking that you’re currently not fit enough, our coaches are there for a reason and they will be helping you achieve regardless! The club trains three times a week and so you will soon see your fitness improving! 🙂

How often do you train?

In the summer we train three times a week on the water; Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 18.30 and Sunday mornings at 9.00.

In the winter we keep the Sunday morning water session and the weeknight training sessions are gym circuit sessions at local gyms.

Currently due to the coronavirus lockdown we are taking part in home workouts over Microsoft Teams!

Do you have to attend all training sessions?

No of course not, attend which ones you are able to. We know we have members who work further away/work shifts/have other responsibilities, we enjoy your company when we can get it! That being said, obviously the more sessions you can make then the more your fitness and technique will improve!

What equipment/special clothing will I need?

We provide all equipment to borrow for beginners, you can then purchase a paddle etc down the line if you wish!

Where do you train?

Our water sessions are held at Caldecotte Lake, the boatyard can be found at the back of the car park of The Caldecotte Pub and Grill.
