We are the most attractive club in the National League. We have bestowed this title upon ourselves, but it is entirely appropriate…..when you get to see the state of some of the other crews, you will realize this fact…..

We are also 2019 Premier League Champions, we may mention it once or twice…

Secklow’s History

We are one of the country’s oldest clubs, with a proud history. Our name derives from Saxon and Norman times, where the ‘Secklow Hundred’ were a group of wise men that met to discuss life, times and (probably) personal hygiene tips.
From the point our forefathers first discussed grooming (in a good way) the personal hygiene focus has resulted in our indisputable gorgeousness, leading to the shapely and succulent club you are joining today.

Our Values

We race hard. We play hard. We do both with a smile on our faces. When you join us you should expect:

1. High moral fibre
2. A winning but respectful attitude (because we do lose occasionally)
3. An all-embracing culture – prejudice has no place in our club
4. A ‘can do’ attitude – nothing is impossible

Our Committee

Our club is entirely reliant on its members. We have a Committee of people that want to drive the club forward and make it everything it could be. Our Committee currently consists of:

Chairman James McCarville
Club Captain Quenton Page
Secretary Chloe Wenham-Sanders
Treasurer Angelina Gooding
Ladies Captain Kate Linley-shaw
Quartermaster Wayne Jones
Coach Daniel Shoesmith/Quenton Page
Membership Secretary Natasha Page
Youth Development Coordinator Martin Onley
Social Media/Events Coordinator Keeley Smyth

Committee positions are generally voted on at our AGM in October / November, or as required during the season if a Committee member steps down unexpectedly.
Any position is available for challenge at the AGM. Members are encouraged to apply for Committee roles. It is expected that roles on the Committee will be undertaken for a minimum of one year.

At race events we compete in different categories, last year we were fortunate to be able to field teams in the Open, Mixed and our Secksy Ladies!

GB paddlers and coaches

Secklow are awesome, we know that much by now, but what makes us even more awesome is that over the years so many of our paddlers have made the Great Britain teams, from Juniors to Prems and Seniors.

Not only that but from 2019 the two Secklow coaches, Dan Shoesmith and Que Page are on the Great Britain Prems coaching team. We know we’ll be working hard this season!
